The Courage to Change program provides outpatient treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders. Our services provide an array of counseling services focused on addiction.

- Telehealth Counseling
Our Behavioral Health Services program is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS)
Admission Criteria
The following criteria are requirements for admission to programs offered by Freedom House for Women
- Adult (18+)
- A referral from a social service agency (examples of referral sources)
- Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority
- Children Service Board
- Municipal Court
- Complete a screening intake
- Resident of Summit County
- Self-referral

More About Us
Freedom House for Women, Inc. is a non-profit organization which was founded in January 2003.
The Board of Directors was formed in March 2003, which is comprised of a group of diverse professional community educators, mental health service providers and judicial leaders who are governed and committed to the mission, vision and establishment of Freedom House for Women, Inc.
The agency received its 501 (3) non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service in November 2004.
